Can I be honest with you for a second?

I never really felt ready.

I just started anyway.

Unprepared. Unsure. Figuring it out as I went. And honestly? I still feel that way sometimes.

But here's what I've learned...

God doesn't wait for you to feel ready before He starts working. He just needs you to take the step.

The person who feels unqualified but says yes anyway. The mum who is exhausted but gets up and tries again. The dreamer who has no idea how it's going to work but starts anyway.

That is exactly who God uses.

Not the polished. Not the perfect. Not the ones who have it all together.

Just the ones who show up.

So whatever you've been putting off until you feel more ready, your story, your calling, your next step, you don't have to wait until the feeling comes.

Just start. Unprepared and all.

He'll take care of the rest. 🤗

24 year old me had no idea this was coming…

1. At 24 I didn't know God. I was just living my life, going through the motions, with no idea of what was ahead of me.

2. At 25 I got baptised and everything changed. I found faith. I found community. And nothing has been the same since.

3. At 28 I started working in church — and slowly made it my whole identity. I loved what I did. I poured everything into it. But somewhere along the way the work became who I was. And that was never going to end well.

4. I burnt out. Badly. The thing you love can still break you if you make it your everything. I learnt that the hard way.

5. So I left. The job. The title. The safety. All of it. It was one of the scariest things I've ever done. And one of the most necessary.

6. At 40 I started rebuilding from scratch. No clear plan. No guarantee. Just faith and a quiet sense that God wasn't done with me yet.

7. At 44 I stood at my own pop-up with Chezhemdi. Watercolour prints. Dino stationery. Finding Jesus t-shirts and posters. A little table full of things we made to encourage people.

8. And then a lady walked up to me. She wasn't just browsing. She asked me to write her a note. She was going through a tough time. And right there at that table I prayed for her.

9. I never imagined this when I started. I thought it was just about the products. But it was never just about the products. It was always about the people we would get to meet, encourage and bless along the way.

10. To my 24 year old self — trust God even when it makes no sense. You will question the path. You will feel lost. You will wonder if you're going in the wrong direction. But one day you will look back and every twist, every loss, every season that felt like a mistake will all make sense. Trust Him anyway.

I'm 44. And I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. 🤗

And I think this is exactly why.

Not the big moments. Not the milestones.
Just this. The ordinary days I almost traded for a stable salary.

I'm so glad I didn't.

For the mum wondering if it's worth it, trust God with it. He knows what your family needs more than you do.

"I’m going through a tough time and your card spoke to me."

When she asked me to write a message on the card she bought, I was so surprised. No one has ever asked me that before.

Then she shared those words with me, and I was honestly so touched.

This has always been our heart. That the drawings and words would meet you where you are and encourage you.

I just didn’t expect to see it unfold like this, in the middle of a busy market.

So I encouraged her and reminded her that she is loved by her Heavenly Father. She was really touched and teared. She said she was really encouraged by what we do and asked for a hug.

And then I asked if I could pray for her.

I never imagined that one day, I would be praying for someone at a busy market like Public Garden.

But maybe this is what it was always meant to be. To notice, to speak life, and to pray.

In the middle of our everyday, we get to notice, speak life, and pray. Just a willing heart.

So if someone comes to your mind today, don’t wait for the perfect moment. Reach out, speak life, or simply say a prayer for them. You never know how much someone might need it right now. 🤗

"I told myself I will buy only one thing at Public Garden. We’ll come back after we check out all the shops."

When she said that, I smiled, but honestly I didn’t think she would come back.

In my unbelieving heart, I thought there’s no way. There were just too many nice things around.

Even for me, I barely had time to walk around and still ended up buying more than I planned.

So I didn’t think much of it after that.

But later on, I saw her again.

And she came back.

And she said, “I’m getting the Finding Jesus t-shirt, and this is my only purchase.”

I paused 🥹

Out of everything she could have chosen, she chose this. She meant what she said and came back for it.

It really stayed with me.

Because sometimes, it’s not about how many things we take away, but what we choose to hold on to.

We feel so honoured to be a small part of that choice when she chose our t-shirt.

And we’re praying that as she wears it, it will open hearts, start conversations, and gently point people back to Jesus 🤗
